The Government of India has launched a programme called the Red Ribbon Club to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS among students in schools and colleges. By promoting routine voluntary blood donation, it inspires and instructs the student community to provide kind assistance in the development of healthy lifestyles and blood donation to all those in need. Additionally, it places a strong emphasis on preventing drug misuse and drunk driving.
