INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM
The institution has initiated many measures in promoting research activities and created an ecosystem for innovation through centres like incubation and other promotional cells/committees. The institute has a dedicated Research and Development Cell which aims at nurturing research culture in the College by promoting research activities. It encourages the faculty and also the students to undertake the research in newly emerging frontier areas of Engineering, Technology, Science and Humanities including multidisciplinary fields. This is promoted through enhancing the general research capability by way of participating in conferences, seminars, workshops, project competitions, Training programs etc. Further, in order to promote research and development activities, the college extends its full support to students/ faculty/ staff; Full/Partial financial support is extended to all innovative research & development works taken up by the students, faculty and staff members. The institution has a Research and Development Committee in addition to state of art technology laboratories, Entrepreneurship Development Cell to encourage and monitor research activities.

Vision

MRKIT aims to motivate, foster and nurture Innovation, Management and Entrepreneurship amongst students and faculty members in a sustainable ecosystem.

Mission

• To support the ambitious entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses by creatinga pathway of numerous opportunities like interactive sessions with professionals, businesscompetitions to increase the awareness.
• To create entrepreneurial thinking,promote business knowledge and inculcate confidence into the students.

Objectives

The objective of this cell is to develop spirit of Entrepreneurship among the students. Activities of this cell includes Creating Awareness Programmes, Mentoring Students, Assisting in getting financial support for Start-ups.

1. To act as an institutional mechanism for providing various services including information on all aspect of enterprise building to budding Science and Technology (S&T) entrepreneurs.
2. To foster better linkages between the Parent Institution, Industries and R&D institutions in the region and other related organizations engaged in promoting Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs).
3. To create awareness among the students of the Institution regarding entrepreneurship as a career option.
4. To conduct training programmes in the field of entrepreneurial skill development.
5. To develop entrepreneurship related course curriculum to incorporate in engineering programmes.
6. Identifying the brightest ideas and giving them a platform for converting them to develop their own start-ups.
